What if I have never done yoga before?
In yoga we start where we are and go from there. This small group setting offers a safe environment for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Modifications and variations will be offered in every posture to suit your individual needs.Remember it is a yoga practice and not a yoga performance, being able to touch your toes is not a pre-requisite to trying a yoga class. Every journey begins with the first step.
What kind of Yoga is Being Offered?
The practice of Vijnana Yoga applies 7 key principles to Classic Hatha Yoga Asana that help to relax the body, quiet the mind and open the heart. In using these principles along with the understanding of Tensegrity which is tension integrity in the body we are able to access more subtle layers of our energy body.Asana (yoga postures) are just one component of the yoga practice. We will also explore pranayama (breathing excercises) and meditation combined with philosophical discussions to further enhance the teachings, thus learning to make them applicable to our daily lives.
How many students do you take per class?
This beautiful intimate setting lends itself to small group classes so that everyone enjoys personalized attention and modifications to suit their unique and individual needs. The class size accommodates a maximum of 12 students. Restorative classes require more time and attention for setup per student and are limited to 10 students per class. Can I drop in?
